North Caucasus
In the North Caucasus there are a lot of resort areas and health resorts that you should definitely visit, unless of course you try to take care of your health and like to relax in nature in the mountains. The North Caucasus is one of the richest regions in Russia in terms of the presence of a huge amount of natural and mineral resources, the presence of long mountain ranges and one of the cleanest ecological zones in the country and in the world. Based on these resources, a huge network of resort and tourist bases, as well as other sports and recreation facilities, has been created.
We list the main ones:
- Caucasian Mineralnye Vody {CMV}. These include such resort towns as Zheleznovodsk, Kislovodsk, Pyatigorsk and Essentuki.
- Suvorov thermal spring №1. The source is located in the village of Suvorovskaya.
- Lake TAMBUKAN. Mud lake, located 10 km from the city of Pyatigorsk.
- Mountainous area DOMBAY. This is a beautiful high-mountainous territory located in Karachay-Cherkessia in the basin of the Teberda River.
- Mountainous area Elbrus. The highest peak in Russia. Located on the border of Kabardino-Balkaria and Karachay-Cherkessia.
- Teberda. Resort city located in the Karachay-Cherkess Republic.
- Sochi, Anapa, Gelendzhik, Hot key. These are resort cities located on the Black Sea coast.
The North Caucasus is the main agricultural region of Russia. More than 70% of the total sunflower in Russia, 35% of cereals, more than 90% of rice, tea, tobacco, citrus fruits and a large number of grape varieties are harvested here. Also in this area there are more than one hundred and seventy deposits and sources of healing mineral water, narzans and hot thermal waters. They include more than thirty-five types of medicinal waters. these include mineral water, narzan, and thermal water.
